Fallout by Isaac-Volpe Fallout by Isaac-Volpe
Fourteenth in a series of video game posters.

The goal is to represent each title though basic elements featured in the game that would be immediately recognizable.

I decided to illustrate the opening of a vault's entrance for Fallout's poster as seeing the rays of the sun for the first time is quite a significant moment for the characters for the series so far and I find that it properly shows the start of their journey's from their familiar cradle into the harsh wasteland.

i love the idea behind this and would love to see more video game poster art like this there are so many great games out there that have become cult favorites like this one over the past decade but i love these have have become instant classics , please make more of these and would love to see some from the final fantasy series and maybe some interesting ones from the anime style of games would be cool too if you could also maybe make some around the nuka-cola brand would be cool too but please keep up the great work

Oh I didn't think of that. Whenever I think of Fallout I think of BauldersGate. Since they were made by the same company at some point. It's mostly just nice memories when I used to play it with my mother XD

The image is impressive, the minimalist design curiously being able to describe one of the key elements of the series, and the premise of the first game, if that was what you were going for, though i can't help but wonder if just an axle node in the center of the gear wouldn't hurt.

Added a little something in the center of the gear, hope it fits properly, don't exactly have large metal gear doors in person to use as a reference, hehehe
And yes I wanted to capture that initial scene from the game that represents the start of the journey, imagining myself in that situation I sure feel that moment's significance.

Not what i was thinking, but it works. If you care, i was thinking more about just a lighter gray circle, filling from the 1/3 to the 2/3, and the center node staying the same as the outside. I think it's called a radian/ or radiating. I can't seen to remember though.( ( o ) ) <- kind of like that, where 1 is the

Darker gray, and 2 is the lighter. Also, that 's just the middle slive (so i don't get crap about asking for a snowboard shaped door on a game where the cog wheel is a critical icon.

Oh I see, let me play around with it a bit, I need to change it from what I had added this morning anyway, didn't have the same minimal touch I would want. I think a simple halo like you say will be best.

I played the first one when I was a kid, in my old computer, but I never finished it.
